Bourbon chicken is just lazy

When I see a food truck that primarily sells bourbon chicken I immediately dislike the people who run it.

They aren’t pouring love into anything. They don’t have anything that makes theirs unique or worthy of my money. They don’t even get creative with their presentation.

It’s one of the laziest attempts at hopping on the trend of running a food truck and working for yourself. Slop together the sauce, have chicken pre-cooked and just reheat it, dump a glob of rice into the styrofoam container… done. And then they have the nerve to charge like $15 or more for it.

And, again, there’s no soul to it. No cultural ties, no “this is my specialty,” no culinary training. Nothing. It’s just the easiest option other than hot dogs.

Thanks for coming to my T.E.D. Talk.
